A #BTS pic of director @sharronwarddirects self-shooting on the #Canon #C300 rigged with a #recoilrig filming the #extinctionrebellion #stophs2 protestors during a major protest outside an #hs2 site in West Hyde, Buckinghamshire. A number of brave protectors mounted bamboo beacons – which have become a trademark of the #extintionrebellion actions. Many others were below the beacons locked on. Later, after many hours a number were arrested.

Nothing quite prepares you for the utter ecological destruction of the #HS2 train project. Here @sharronwarddirects was filming a number of giant ancient oaks that had been felled, right here on a #naturereserve The #StopHS2 #treeprotectors had valiantly tried to stop these oaks from being slaughtered – but to no avail. A very sad scene to film. This is nothing short of #ecocide.
