Sharron Ward

This short observational film for Channel 4 News was filmed, directed & produced by Sharron Ward, Katalyst Productions on the Greek island of Lesbos. It documented the height of the European refugee crisis when desperate Syrian refugees fleeing Syria, came to Greece via Turkey on perilously dangerous rubber dinghies. The film explored why Syrians were so desperate to flee the civil war and documented the inspiring and brave efforts of a British family - Eric & Philippa Kempson who single-handedly helped thousands of refugees who turned up on their shores.  TX was September 2015.
