The Selfless Sikh: Faith on the Frontline, observational documentary, BBC Studios, 2016.

Sharron Ward filmed and directed this observational documentary following Ravi Singh, and his NGO Khalsa Aid, who every month feed and provide shelter for over 400 Yazidi IDPs in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. The film features horrifying testimony of Yazidi women who were brutally beaten and raped, held captive as “sex slaves” by ISIS and documents the genocide that was committed against this ethnic religious minority. The film was watched by 1.5 million viewers on broadcast. Narrated by Anita Rani, Producer: Anna Cox, Executive Producer: Tommy Nagra, Filmed, Directed & Produced by Sharron Ward. Dur: 1 hr.

The film was shortlisted for the Sandford St Martin TV Documentary Award in 2017; and nominated for Best TV Programme at the Asian Media Awards.  It won Best Single Documentary at the RTS North West Awards in November 2017.
