Founder & Director/Producer Sharron Ward has Produced and Directed television commercials, corporates, campaigning films, television promos as well as factual films and documentaries for a wide variety of clients around the world including the BBC, ITV, MTV Europe, VH1 Europe, Turner Broadcasting Networks, The Walt Disney Company, Discovery Networks Europe, Viacom International, Red Bee, Middle East Broadcasting Corporation, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Television New Zealand and Virgin Media/Flextech.

Sharron Ward filmed and directed a short documentary for Virgin Care on the Surrey Half Marathon for Wood’s Films. Executive produced by Jay Woods, production managed by Caroline Woods. March 2015.

 

We made a film for  The Media Trust’s Untold Stories Strand for the women’s mental health charity Kim Inspire.  Produced, Directed & Edited by Sharron Ward, Filmed by Ewan Mulligan and Online Edited by Nigel Taylor.  Transmitted on the Community Channel June 2012.  HD Canon 7D, Dur. 5 mins.  Much thanks to the folk at KIM & the wonderful women who shared their personal stories in the film.

“We needed a short promotional film to showcase the work of KIM and highlight the problem with the stigmatisation of mental illness.  We have used the film on lots of occasions and it has been a really great way to get our message across visually. Katalyst was back at the UN in Geneva to document the tireless work of the Stop Killer Robots team as they addressed and lobbied diplomats during the Convention on Conventional Weapons on LAWS in April 2015.

 

Katalyst was commissioned to produce and film a series of films for the global launch of the Stop Killer Robots campaign – spearheaded by Human Rights Watch & Article 36 in London.  Please check out the films and see why a ban to stop autonomous weapons from killing people is a humanitarian necessity. Katalyst was commissioned by Eve Ensler’s organisation Vday, which was set up to combat violence against women, to celebrate the launch of the One Billion Rising Campaign in London February 2013.  Supporters during the evening icluded Anoushka Shankar, Thandie Newton, Eve Ensler, and many performance acts including Students from East 15 Acting School performing “Break the Chain.”

 

 

Sharron Ward filmed & directed a short film featuring Chella Quint – the winner of the The Mandrake Films/Open University Specialist Factual New Talent Pitch, as she took us on a journey examining the history of disposable feminine hygiene product advertising.  You can see the film on the OU page here.  Executive Producers: Lucy Baxter & Lucy Sandys-Winsch

Globalisation

BBC2 Open University Learning Zone 6 x 5′ Factual Series for  BBC2 2001.  Director: Sharron Ward. Executive Producer: Chris Palmer.

Factual series of programmes examining contemporary issues concerning the world and particularly Britain in the 21st Century.  Issues such as Globalisation, Aging populations & Pensions,  Fishing Quotas,  the Human Rights Act,  and Western & Eastern politics.

Short film for the BBC Open University Learning Zone on western & eastern politics & issues of democracy, 2001.  Directed by Sharron Ward.

 

Morrison Hotel clothing television commercial, 30 secs, 16 mm, 1997.  Katalyst was commissioned to conceive and make a TV commercial showcasing the New Zealand clothing label Morrison Hotel. Directed by Sharron Ward.
